Set up wireless printer

Printer - is a device which prints the datas, text, and graphics into human readable language (hard copies) from the system connected to it. Printer Driver is a software which translates the datas to be printed into the printer understandable language.

As it named Wireless Printers are printers without wires connected to a system in local or network which can be easily navigated through everywhere within the Wi-Fi signal range. To setup wireless printers we need to follow these steps one by one,

First we have to determine the best location for our wireless printer whether it is used on a local network or in shared network, since it need to be placed in the location which is having good signal coverage area.
Check if the printer is network enabled, that is if it is having Ethernet jack in it. We have to use the option print server, if the wireless printer does not have Ethernet jack in it. Then we need to configure the router info, subnet mask and the TCP/IP address.
If we are using the wireless printer in the shared network, enable the printer sharing from the host system.
Then install the printer driver of the particular printer from the cd/dvd or from the manufacturers website. Goto start and select the printers /faxes from the control panel.
Click the particular printer and goto its properties menu by right clicking it. Select the tab sharing and select the share printer option.
When prompted put the cd/dvd of the particular driver and install it by following the step by step instructions from the installation wizard.

Remote Wireless printers are installed by following these steps,

Select the remote pc which is going to connect to the printer.
Select my network places from the control panel.
Click the printer button, put cd/dvd if it prompts. From the Installation wizard follow the step by step instructions and complete the setup of the wireless printer in the remote system. It will then be used by all the systems in the network in a shared manner.

The simplest way of checking whether the printer driver and the printer is working properly is to test the printing of test page, which can be done by following these commands, just double click the printer icon of the particular manufacturer and from the menu choose general tab from properties and then click the test page print button, which is the common way to find whether the printer driver is working properly or not.
