How to Get Sound On My Computer How to Get Sound on My Computer
There are many people who complain for the same problem of having No Sound in the Computer which leaves one at the height of irritation and disgust, and it is an ordeal to be using the computer in that condition. However there are certain answers on the question of how to get sound on computer. If you recently switched over to a new operating system or installed new hardware or software in the computer then it might be because of those recent changes that the sound gets affected. For this you can undo all the changes that you had made to your computer and see if the sound comes back to your computer. If it still does not come back then probably it will be because of some error caused in the sound or audio driver. To retrieve the sound back you can follow these steps, although the processes might slightly differ according to the different kind of operating systems in use. Here we take Windows XP as an example.
Firstly you need to examine if the sound box s functional, if the audio card is properly attached to the socket, if the fan is working and if the chipset present is right. Next you need to check the BIOS setting which can only be skipped if you use a free standing audio card .But if you are using onboard audio card then you will have to go through the entire procedure. Firstly one will have to enter BIOS setting , then open Integrated Peripherals and after that find the AC97 audio, and then you have change its settings to either Auto or to Enable. After having done this the next task is to find On Board AC97 Control and also change it to Auto or Enable. After having done this entire thing without any mistake you need to save the entire settings by clicking on the Save option and exit the BIOS setting. After having done this you will surely be able to retrieve back the sound which was not coming and among you shout a loud sound on my computer.
